Chris Shaw - FOX 35 News Orlando

FOX 5 reporter

Chris Shaw

Chris Shaw joined the FOX 5 team as a general assignment reporter in 2007.

You might say broadcasting is in Chris' blood. Growing up with a grandfather and uncle in radio, Chris knew from a young age that he wanted to become a great journalist. His career choice was set in stone after he received his first Emmy nomination while still in high school! After college, Chris began his professional career in the blistering cold of Minot, ND. He perfected his craft as he moved to Little Rock and then Cincinnati before heading south to FOX 5.

High journalistic standards have always been a part of Chris' work and he has been honored accordingly. He is most proud of the Emmy nomination that he received with his wife, a producer, for their series of stories investigating a child's tragic murder and the problems in the foster care system that preceded his death. Chris' breaking news coverage and many of his feature reports have received professional accolades over the years.

Chris loves sports, especially hockey and baseball. If he wasn't in television, Chris claims he'd be playing 3rd base for the St. Louis Cardinals… if they'd let him. Chris and his wife recently added a new passion to their lives. Their first son was born in February 2009!
