Drew Peterson Feels Good About Hearing: Joel Brodsky

A high profile murder case made Illinois history Wednesday when a television camera rolled as the Third District Appellate Court in Ottawa heard arguments in the Drew Peterson murder trial.

It was the first time a court in the state has allowed live coverage of a hearing. Attorneys were arguing about the admissibility of hearsay evidence that prosecutors want to present at the trial.

Joel Brodsky is the lead defense attorney and was in the courtroom Wednesday. He joined us with his impressions of the hearing.

Brodsky said he spoke with Peterson by phone after the hearing. Peterson was allowed to watch the hearing on TV while in jail, and he thought the defense did a good job.

Brodksy also said he was pleased with the hearing and is hopeful the court will side with the defense.
