Drew Peterson's Son Stephen Peterson Firing Decision Delayed

Oak Brook fire and police commissioners have delayed a decision about whether to fire Drew Peterson's son, Stephen.

Drew Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police sergeant, is charged with murder in the death of his third wife and is a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth.

His son Stephen Peterson is a police officer in Oak Brook. He was suspended in August after he testified that he hid several of his father's guns after his stepmother's disappearance.

WLS-AM reported that the Oak Brook Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was supposed to continue public hearings about Stephen Peterson's employment on Monday.

Commissioners said they need more time to make a decision. They've postponed the hearing until Feb. 2.

Drew Peterson is jailed in lieu of $20 million bail.
