Dr. Oz: Eat For Energy

Are you lacking the energy you need to get through your busy day? Eat smarter and get energized.

Dehydration could be a hidden sign of being fatigue. So if you are feeling low, start off with a glass of water.

Avoid simple sugars ending in “-ose”, like energy-zapping glucose, or sucrose, or maltose, or dextrose. Ultimately, they will all make you feel morose.

Eat whole grains to stabilize your blood sugar levels, instead of causing those spikes and falls you get from sugars in refined carbohydrates.

Consume high-quality proteins, such as nuts and fish, and eat a low-carb diet with plenty of fruits and veggies.

Drink green tea. It’s full of polyphenols. They increase energy and attentiveness, the difference between being alive and feeling alive.
