Police in Dunwoody are searching for clues and a motive in the fatal shooting of a local businessman outside a preschool just after he had dropped off a child.
Dunwoody police say investigators spent Friday morning talking to witnesses and trying to find surveillance video of the shooting outside Dunwoody Prep Preschool.
Police now say the shooting was not random.
Police say 36-year-old Russell Sneiderman was approached by a gunman and was shot several times Thursday morning in the parking lot of Dunwoody Prep Preschool.
Sgt. Mike Carlson says the shooter was seen traveling west in a silver Dodge Minivan.
Sneiderman's longtime friend and college roommate, Matt Davidson, says he had an MBA from Harvard and had been a financial consultant for the Atlanta division of JP Morgan Chase & Co. Private Bank. Davidson says Sneiderman had recently been involved in a private business venture.
Friends of Sneiderman say he was a successful entrepeneur and spent countless hours working with charitable organizations.
Police say some of the witnesses got a good look at the gunman and they are their best bet at finding the killer.
