Tired of exercising in the gym? Want to run outdoors but don't want to feel the stress on your legs and feet? Well, fear no more! Owners at evolve bicycles in celebration say the revolutionary elliptiGO allows you to use your favorite machine, while enjoying the outdoors.

"It's an outdoor elliptical bike," explains Brian Brown of Evolve Bicycles in Celebration, Fla. "It combines all of the best aspects of running, cycling, and of an indoor elliptical trainer all in one awesome machine."

The device looks like an oversized bicycle. There's no seat. Rather, riders stand on the machine just like they would on an elliptical inside of a gym or their home. Foot peddles help propel you forward. Handle bars are present to help you stop and shift gears for more or less resistance.

"It can go," Brown says. "It's not as fast as a bicycle, but you can certainly get it as close to a bicycle, but much faster than running obviously."

So just how awesome is the elliptiGO? Well, we're going to take it outside for a spin!

"What you want to do when you start the elliptiGO for the first time is that you want to get your forward momentum as much as you can because that's what's going to give you the stability to move forward until you truly get the motion down," Brown says.

Cyclists say the elliptiGO has received an enormous amount of attention and helped to boost business at evolve, but even more importantly…

"It's fun, so it will motivate you to get on it and you're going to be riding it because it is fun, and it truly does torch calories," Brown says.

So if you're looking to lose weight and enjoy exercising out doors, Evolve says the elliptiGO is the machine to have. The base model will run you $1,800. Cyclist and runners alike say it's worth every penny.
