Hundreds of students at Florida State University danced their way to a new record at the 17th Annual Dance Marathon benefiting the Children's Miracle Network this past weekend.
The 20 hour event, with more than 1,800 dancers and 2,000 volunteers, raised just over $584,000, the most ever since it was created in 1995.
Since its start the dance marathon has raised more than $3.8 million for the Children's Miracle Network, Shands Hospital for Children and the FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Program.
