Rock superstar Lenny Kravitz performed at the Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show and the rain let up for just a bit as the Grammy award winning singer took the stage.
Kravitz, who has sold more than 35 million albums and is the only musician in history to win the Grammy for best male vocals in rock music four times consecutively, performed three songs and now joins a long list of star-studded names that have performed in the Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show including Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey and Brad Paisley.
Kravitz will soon hit the big screen starring as Cinna in the highly anticipated motion picture The Hunger Games. Kravitz says fans of the popular book series won't be disappointed with the movie version. "Filming the movie was amazing. It's gonna be a phenomenal film. And apparently it's breaking all kinds of records already and the movie hasn't even come out yet, as far as I guess advanced ticket sales," said Kravitz. "It should be quite an amazing film. It felt really good while we we're filming it, and Gary Ross the director did an amazing job."
The Hunger Games opens in theaters March 23rd.
