Fox 2 is happy to introduce you to Carly Dorogi, creator/owner of Sticky Bellies .
Carly, 33, runs the businesses from her home in Detroit. The online company sells milestone stickers to put on children's shirts and pregnant mother's shirts when expecting to track their age and growth. Carly's business has taken off since its launch in July 2010.
When Carly's daughter was born, she knew she wanted to document and celebrate her growth by taking a monthly photograph; it would allow her to know how old her daughter was in the pictures and make for adorable images to share with family and friends. She decided someone needed to come up with a removable sticker that would look like it was part of the shirt but could be removed after the photo shoot - and Sticky Bellies was born!
Her first product, the "Oh Sew Cute" gender-neutral removable monthly milestone sticker, was launched in 2010 and the company has since expanded their line to include six sticker sets which are available in more than 600 stores worldwide.
The mom of one (with a 2nd on the way!) was kind enough to pay us a visit Monday morning, when discussed starting a successful small business (especially on tough economic times) and the life of a "mompreneur."
