A teenage beauty queen hopes a thief will come forward with items that she was collecting for needy children.
Elizabeth Tran likes to use her title as Miss Teen Florida International to help the needy.
But during her good deed a few days ago, something bad happened.
"During the Florida Perfect Pageant on Sunday, my soap that I was collecting for the Clean the World Foundation got stolen."
Elizabeth, 17, organized a soap drive to help needy children in third world countries. Many of the donors were kids themselves, participating in a pageant at the Florida Mall Hotel last weekend.
"These are for children that are in need, that are dying and if they really wanted the soap, we were at a hotel," she said.
She placed the donated soap under a table outside a ballroom on Saturday evening. When she returned to the competition to continue the drive on Sunday morning, it quickly came to a stop when she realized her soap collection was gone.
"I was very upset and very disappointed that someone would do something like that especially because it is soap."
Elizabeth tells us jewelry and other pageant prizes like teddy bears were also taken. She wonders who would commit such a horrible heist.
"I filed a report," she told us and offered a message for the thief that committed this ugly crime. "Please return it to the Clean The World Warehouse. They're in downtown Orlando and they really need that soap for these children."
She plans to have another drive at the Miss Miracle Pageant at the end of the month and hopes it will turn out to be a big winner.
"Hopefully even get more soap collected than what it was before."
The pageant takes place on Saturday, June 30 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown Orlando.
