DETROIT (WJBK) -

The bodies of a man and woman were found inside a garage on Detroit's west side.  Fox 2 spoke to a woman, who says she was there when the bodies were discovered.

"I saw a girl walking, pacing backwards and forwards and screaming and hollering," she said.

The woman, who wouldn't show her face on camera, was going for her morning walk when she says she stumbled upon a murder scene.  She says a woman was standing near the garage crying and beating on the garage door.  She claimed to by the sister of a woman inside.

"She said that, 'My sister and this other guy are dead,'" the woman explained  "I said, 'What?'  And she said, 'Yeah, they dead.  They in the garage.'  We went in there and she shook her sister and the guy to see if they were still living and nobody moved."

How does she think they were killed?

"I believe that the guy was ... stabbed to death and the girl was strangled."

Police won't confirm how the couple died, but tell us the man found inside the garage was in his forties and suffered a deep puncture wound, and the woman in her mid-thirties showed signs of trauma around her neck.

"Her tongue was hanging out her mouth as if she had been strangled to death."

The women called 911.  Police interviewed family on the scene.  Neighbors say for months they
thought the house was suspicious, and no one seemed to really know who lived there.

"I noticed the guys trying to get in there, and he didn't have any paperwork saying that he owned the house, so I just called the police to have them investigate and the guys took off," one man told us.

"I've been over here a while, and I really didn't know who was staying there because one minute I'd see one person and the next minute I'd see somebody else," said the woman.
