'The Campaign,' 'Bourne Legacy,' 'Celeste and Jesse' | Zwecker - FOX 35 News Orlando

'The Campaign,' 'Bourne Legacy' and 'Celeste and Jesse' score in fantastic movie weekend: Zwecker

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

"The Campaign" stars funnymen Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, in a hilarious romp that skewers American politics.

If only real politics were as hilarious as the movie "The Campaign." Life would be much more fun. Well actually, real politics are often wacky and bizarre - but then, I digress.

Will Ferrell plays a long-term North Carolina congressman who makes one heck of a public gaffe, just before an election. That gaffe leads some super-rich corporate guys to recruit Zach Galifianakis' clueless local tourism director to run against him.

What ensues is one of the funniest comedy romps of the summer, as Zach's Marty Huggins character soon gets on board with all the cutthroat antics.

We recently sat down with Will and Zach to chat about the movie, and we asked how they got along with their co-stars. They said the movie's two scene-stealing pug dogs were particularly difficult to work with.

The boys were certainly having some fun with us – and chatted about their recent stop in Chicago to promote the film.

Recently we also talked to the film's Dylan McDemott, who talked about the message he hopes the audience will take away from this film.

I must say, I was skeptical when I first heard they were going ahead with yet another "Bourne" film without Matt Damon.

But happily, "The Bourne Legacy" not only keeps the franchise alive - it adds new dimension to it. This one starts pretty much where the last "Bourne" movie left off.

Jeremy Renner plays Aaron Cross in this fourth film, seamlessly building on the foundation of Matt Damon's Bourne as another medically enhanced super-spy. But Renner's character is now on the run as Edward Norton's mega spy-master desperately works to kill all of those super-humans, and the scientists who created them.

With the added talents of outstanding actors like Renner, Rachel Weisz and Norton, this new "Bourne" film is a sure winner.

Also opening Friday is "Celeste And Jesse Forever," starring Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg as a married couple whose lifelong relationship has them moving in different directions.

Jones plays a hard-driving workaholic, while Samberg's slacker artist is totally carefree and not ambitious. Yet, the couple can't move on and finalize their divorce. Samberg still lives in his wife's guest house out back.

Co-written by Jones, this is a very touching, funny and realistic contemporary look at relationships. It's a nice must see for adult audiences.

Bill Zwecker joined Good Day with the buzz on Randy Travis' recent arrest, a new feud between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, and the latest in the Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart cheating saga.
