
The reigning Miss America Laura Kaeppeler and the current Miss America's Outstanding Teen Elizabeth Fechtel, the "Little" sister to the Miss America Pageant, visited Good Day this morning.
The Miss America's Outstanding Teen (MAOTeen) national pageant will kick off today at the Linda Chapin Theater inside the Orange County Convention Center. MAOTeen, the "little sister" to Miss America, will host 53 state representatives competing in various competitions for the chance to win scholarships totaling more than $300,000 and the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2013.
The show will be hosted by local Orlando talent, Greg Hutson and Miss America 2012, Laura Kaeppeler. Orlando's JM Best Entertainment will return for the eighth consecutive year as the producer of the 2012 Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant. The young women will be busy with rehearsals, photo shoots and many special events, including a welcome party at Planet Hollywood and a night out on the town at Medieval Times in Orlando. They will close the week on Saturday, August 18th with the final night of competition that will be followed by an awards ceremony and after party.
