Witness of Detroit Princess shooting wakes up to burning cars

Richard woke up Sunday morning to three cars on fire in front of her home. The
trunk of her Chevy Impala was torched, along with two other vehicles belonging
to family members.
Richard witnessed the shooting near the Detroit Princess
cruise ship. Now those connected are wondering if this act was a message of
intimidation.
Richard
was not on the cruise, but went to pick up her sister, who called for a ride
after a fight broke out on the boat. A man involved in the fight was Michael
Thomas. Shortly after, he allegedly ordered his wife, Latoiya Mitchell, to
shoot into the crowd.
She allegedly did, striking six people - including
Richard's sister and other family members. So Richard grabbed her registered
gun and fired back, protecting her family. She struck Thomas in the back.
The
Wayne County Prosecutor's Office still has not issued any charges, despite
dozens of witnesses identifying the alleged shooter. There is even video, phone
records, and 911 calls.
We've learned the prosecuting office is even asking police
to submit a warrant request for Ladon Richard herself.
