Car bombings in Holly are getting attention from the ATF - FOX 35 News Orlando

Car bombings are something you would expect to see in a mob movie, not in the middle of a sleepy Holly neighborhood, but they've happened at one house three different times, and the most recent bombing is the worst yet.

"My husband jumped up and said, 'Not again,'" Lynne Oliseck told us.

Not again is something you say about kids knocking over trash cans, not blowing up a truck, and it's happened not once, but three times -- the latest early Thursday morning.

"We heard this loud bang and both of us jumped out of bed," Oliseck explained.

The Olisecks found their grandson's truck gutted by an explosive.  The impact was so powerful the neighbors felt it.

"It sounded like it was coming through my house," said Becky Ford.

There is shattered glass and debris all over the neighborhood, leaving so many asking what's next?

"When I moved my family here, I didn't think we'd have to deal with things like this," Ford said.

"The gas tank could've blown up.  My house could've gone up and everybody in it," said Oliseck.

"This is the third time it's happen now and each time it seems to progressively get worse," Ford remarked.

The bombings began about a year ago and every single one has happened in the middle of the night, and the target is always the Oliseck's grandson's truck.  This is his third one.

"He's evidently made somebody mad," his grandmother said.

But why?  Neighbors said he's a nice guy.

"Just turned 20 in August, and he is in Ohio working," Oliseck said.

However, a teenaged neighbor said she knows the 19-year-old who was responsible for the first two bombings.

"He told me straight up, up at Lakeside Park, which is right down the road, that he was the one who did it," said Breanna Conner.

Why?

"I think they got in a fight in high school once."

The dumbest reason imaginable and Holly Police know all about it, but that teen who we are not identifying, may not be responsible for this latest bombing.  For one, the explosive used this time is a lot more powerful than the one believed to have been used in the first two bombings.  Plus, the teen is on a tether because he's awaiting trial for other crimes.

Meanwhile, this latest bombing has gotten the ATF's attention and people in this neighborhood hope that will be the key to ending this.

"It's going to come out and then they're going to face time and they're going to feel stupid for doing it all this time," Conner said.

"If you have a problem with my grandson, meet him face to face.  Don't be a (expletive) and take it out on property," said Oliseck.

Now that the ATF is involved, this will most likely not be a local issue.  Whoever is behind this could face federal charges.
