Job Description:

Perma-Seal Basement Systems is hiring a mechanic to work with our maintenance team. We are looking for an energetic, hard-working, result driven, experienced professional, for our Downers Grove office. Job position requires 40 hours a week and overtime if needed.

Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.

Compensation: Position will pay $12-$15 per hour, depending on experience level. Full benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

Working closely with 2 other mechanics to ensure our fleet is safe and problem free. Needs to be able to prioritize and work as a team. Perma-Seal's fleet includes 65 vehicles along with compressors, piering equipment, trailers, excavators and tools. Preventive maintenance along with daily repairs will be required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Minimum 2 years related experience

Valid Driver's license -- Some travel between offices required

Basic computer skills

Strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands

Demonstrates a positive, "can-do", teamwork-oriented attitude

All candidates must pass background/drug screening prior to employment

Technical Requirements:

Brakes, calipers and rotors

Basic oil changes and checking and maintaining proper fluids

Basic transmission work

Transmission flushes

Radiator flushes

Fixing electrical issues

Fixing fuel pumps

Replacing alternators

Inspecting vehicle to pass safety

Diagnosing issues

Welding

Working on tools

Basic Building Maintenance

Recording daily log of vehicles and tools work on
