Want to design a southern look for Mountain Dew? According to the folks at Mountain Dew, you can.
Mountain Dew is turning over control of the design for a new label to the people who know the South best to add some local flavor to its first-ever malt flavored soda.
Starting September 20 and running through October 10, anyone who wants the chance to see their design come to life are invited to submit regionally-inspired designs for the malt-flavored DEW that could be sold in their region in 2013.
Here's how it works. Visit www.yourmaltdew.com and choose from one of the finalist names from one of the six regions represented. Create your design and upload it. Remember, your design for the label should represent the region where you live.
Officials with Mountain Dew say voting will begin in November, and fans will vote for the top three designs per region. Winners will each be awarded a digital camera, and a chance to see their design on the shelf in 2013.
