Kate "Ma" Barker was J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI's Public Enemy Number One in the early 1930s. Her Barker-Karpis gang terrorized the nation with robberies, kidnappings and murders for several years.
Agents caught a break in 1935, when they were led to an isolated Florida house. It's there where Ma and her son, Fred, made their bloody last stand against more than a dozen federal agents. When the four-hour gun battle was over, the Barkers were dead. Their bodies and the house were riddled with bullets from the more than 2,000 shots fired.
That house is on Marion County's Lake Weir in the tiny town of Ocklawaha, and 77 years after Ma Barker's final fight with the FBI, you can own it. FOX 35's Tom Johnson shows you how.
