SORRENTO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Wekiva Falls Splash and Dash is much more than a two and five kilometer obstacle race. It is an exciting event filled with activities the entire family can take part in. The race is being held on October 6th and is hosted by the Wekiva Falls Resort, located at 30700 Wekiva River Rd, Sorrento.
One of the advantages to having an obstacle race of this kind at a waterpark type resort such as Wekiva Falls is that family and friends, spectators and contestants can all spend a wonderful day enjoying all of the resorts amenities at no extra charge. The water in the huge naturally fed spring water pool is a constant 73 degrees year round. Spectators can lay in the sun or splash in the spring.
