A British woman, who suffered a burst blood clot in her brain last November sending her into a 10-day coma, says she has had 14 years of memories wiped from her brain.
Sarah Thomson, 32, says she remembers nothing of her marriage to her husband and life with their three children, ages 4 through 14. She woke up convinced she was a 19-year-old and that it was 1998.
"When the children came to see me I just had no idea who they were, I thought they were somebody else's children," she told The Sun newspaper. "I kept calling them the wrong names, and had no idea why they were so pleased to see me."
Sarah had emergency surgery after malformed blood vessel burst in her head. She went into a coma. When she woke up, she thought the Spice Girls were still together and didn't know king of pop Michael Jackson was dead, the paper reports.
Since coming out of the coma, her husband has been patiently working with Sarah to help restore lost moments, taking her to places they had first been as a couple.
