DELTONA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A 77-year-old Deltona woman is recovering after police said she was robbed and knocked to the ground at an Orange City Walmart.

"He started pulling and pulling and pulling and I start screaming," said Rosa Miranda, the victim.

Just after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, surveillance video shows Miranda putting her groceries in the trunk of her car parked in a handicapped spot, then another car pulls up and parks right next to her car and a man gets out of the passenger side of the car, scopes out the lot, then walks towards her car, snatching her purse right out of her lap and pulling her down to the pavement-- the suspects then speed off in the car.

"He tried to pull my purse, and I fall down, so I think he don't take nothing from me," Miranda said.

Fortunately, her wallet wasn't inside her purse when the incident happened, for the most part Miranda says she's okay, but did suffer a few injuries to her chin, and head during the fall.

"My leg is hurting me a lot," Miranda said.

Officers said the suspects in the video are Michael Schaefer, 20, accused of snatching her purse and Kody Russell, 19, who police say was driving the car.

Officers said they are accused of doing the same thing to a different victim the day before, but this time, investigators said a witness took down their license plate and police were able to track them down.

Miranda is receiving calls from her family in Puerto Rico, checking on her condition.  The woman, who has survived cancer and heart surgery, now has another survival story, and she's just glad the suspects are off the streets.

"He don't bother nobody else," Miranda said.

Both suspects were charged with felony sudden snatching, their bond was set at $2,500.
