CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
FOX Chicago's entertainment reporter Bill Zwecker took a look at two of the new movies opening in theaters this weekend: "Won't Back Down" and "Looper."
I think "Won't Back Down" will certainly resonate with Chicago audiences, due to the recent teacher strike.
The film stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis as a single mom and a teacher, respectively, who fight the bureaucracies of both the teachers union and the school board to try and take control of a failing public school.
I recently sat down with Maggie and Viola to talk about this timely film.
Also opening Friday is the amazing time-travel thriller "Looper," where the mafia of the future sends back its victims to the past to be killed.
This is a smart, original story - with Joseph Gordon-Leavitt playing a younger version of Bruce Willis' character - who suddenly confronts him face-to-face.
When I talked to Gordon-Leavitt, he told me about the challenges of playing a younger Bruce Willis.
I definitely recommend these two films - both are must-sees.
Star of Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" and New Trier senior Katie Chang joined Good Day to speak on what it was like working on her first film, acting with Emma Watson and filming in Paris Hilton's closet.
