ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Orange County homicide detectives have cleared two men who were named as persons of interest in the murder of a 53-year-old restaurant worker.
Investigators announced they wanted to speak with Adriel McKee, 17, and Glenn Lamar Quick, 33, about an armed robbery and murder at the China Wok restaurant on Silver Star Road. The two were questioned and cleared of any involvement on Friday.
Detectives said two masked men entered the restaurant around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, demanding money from the cashier. There was some confusion, as the victim, identified as Ying Jie Sun, did not understand English. She was shot in the head by one of the suspects and died Thursday morning at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video at the restaurant to gather more evidence in the case. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of these two individuals, is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
