Deputies search for missing Clermont woman

CLERMONT, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Lake County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a missing mentally challenged woman who left her residence at 2013 Morning Star Dr. in Clermont around 8 a.m. on Thursday. 

Barbi Betz, 37, had been wearing a Project Lifesaver tracking bracelet; however, she was discovered to have removed it after leaving her home.  

Betz was last seen wearing a purple top and purple pants and was last known to be in her room at approximately 10:30 last night.  

As of early Thursday evening, she had not yet been located.  Deputies will continue to search the area with the assistance of K9 units.
