Deputies say 42-year old Alan White led them on chase along Interstate 4 Thursday evening, which started in Orange County, to Polk County, then back to Orange County where it ended at the Orlando Grand Hotel.
For at least four-hours, John Young Parkway was shut-down and the Orange County Hotel on lockdown after being evacuated, after White ran inside. Many hotel guests were left stressed.
"I saw the car pull in the back," said John Wheeler, who is from Atlanta, but is in the Orlando-area on business. "The police were like get down, get down, you got to get out of the hotel," he said.
Deputies say the car White was driving was stolen from Seminole County since September and had been involved in several crimes.
A deputy spotted the car, the driver spotted deputies, and that's what started the chase.
We know this blue Ford-500 because it has been involved in a number of crimes in Central Florida,, apparently the driver saw the deputy and sped off, said Jeff Williamson, spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
At about 9 p.m. deputies found White in a room on the third-floor of the hotel. They say he is cooperating and will face stolen vehicle charges, among several others.
FOX 35 learned White has several previous arrests, including grand theft, forgery and drug charges. According to deputies, there were no reported injuries throughout the entire ordeal.
