Atlanta police are asking for help to find the men behind a bold robbery. Surveillance video shows the extreme measures two crooks took to rob from a southeast Atlanta gas station store on Thursday night.
Cameras rolling inside the Pure gas station convenience store on Jonesboro Road shows a man vault through a 3-inch-thick divider over the counter with a gun in his hand.
"He make them kneel down, lay down on the floor, and he said, 'Get the money!' He was not knowing how to open the register," said Chandu Gala, a store clerk.
Police said the robber had an accomplice watching on the other side of the store, near the entrance.
Two customers hid in the bathroom.
The entire incident lasted less than 1 minute, according to police. The thieves stole about $800.
"It was very frightening, you know all of a sudden someone put the gun on your head, you know? It was very frightening," said Gala.
The thief left the same way he came in.
Workers said they are this may be a trend. Just last month, a crook broke in with a gun and cleaned out an ATM.
"He grabbed about $14-15,000. Gone," said Gala.
Surveillance video shows the two men running out of the store heading west down School Drive.
Gala hopes the surveillance footage helps police catch the crooks.
