Allen Park emergency financial manager could be named as soon as today

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - The city of Allen Park will be next to receive a state-appointed emergency financial manager, according to FOX 2's Taryn Asher.
Asher says the decision on who will run the city's finances could come as soon as Thursday afternoon.
In August, a financial review team recommended the move to Michigan Governor Rick Snyder. In their report, they found that "a local government financial emergency exists within the City of Allen Park, and that no satisfactory plan exists to resolve that emergency."
Allen Park Mayor William Matakas has said he opposes the recommendation.
