TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - An adult care home worker in Marana is accused of stealing more than $4,000 from a 91-year-old patient.
Authorities say 48-year-old Lisa Marie Boone-Scott was arrested Thursday on suspicion of fraud, theft/financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult and two counts of forgery.
She's being held in the Pima County jail on $7,500 bail.
Boone-Scott allegedly forged 2 of the victim's checks for a total of $1,666 and made five unauthorized ATM withdrawals for $2,500 between May and August.
According to court documents, Boone-Scott admitted her actions and was seen on surveillance tapes.
The Arizona Daily Star (http://bitly.com/PVr9Cm) says Boone-Scott has prior convictions and has served a prison term in California for similar offenses.
Authorities didn't immediately know Friday whether Boone-Scott has an attorney.
