DeKalb police are searching for a man who has attempted to sexually assault four women. Police say the attacks have happened in the Memorial Drive area.
DeKalb County police says it's women walking by themselves who are now being star targeted.
The four assaults occurred between October 1 and October 20 in the Memorial Drive and Rock Bridge Road area. They say the suspect approaches from behind and engages them in conversation. Police say when the victims proceed to walk away, the suspect inappropriately touches the women or attempts to pull off an item of clothing.
Word of the attacks was unsettling to Brittney Graham who plans to start college. The 18-year-old does not own a car and walks everywhere.
"It definitely raises a red flag for me, just because I am a young female walking and this is my area and I do have to walk that long distance. So it's kind of nerve-racking to know that," Graham said.
"People who live and work within the corridor have to be vigilant about their safety and aware of their surroundings, especially in the evening hour and to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and to alert us," said Mekka Parish of DeKalb County Police Department.
Detectives are working on a composite sketch with the victims. They have a pretty general description of the suspect being a black male with a broad, wide nose.
