ATLANTA -

Are you away from your television for longer periods of time, but want to be able to see the latest shows, news, and weather coverage on FOX 5? Not to worry, you can pick up those signals on your mobile device such as your smart phone and soon to make an appearance on your tablet.

The service is available on the Galaxy S Lightray from Metro PCS. The hone has built in rabbit ears which means it can pick up an over the air signal that does not require a data plan. It is free TV the way it used to be.

It uses an app called Dyle TV and it is made possible through a partnership by major broadcasters including the FOX Network.

Taking it for a test drive, you will find the picture to be incredibly clear. And it works even works in the car... Well, if you're a passenger. This is actually very convenient as the current digital television signals cannot be picked up while on the move. Dyle TV can work at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The app will come in really handy if you and your family are ever tucked away in your safe place in your house when a severe storm hits. Just think that you can get live updates from the FOX 5 Storm Team to let you know the current conditions.

Dyle TV is working on an antenna that will attach to other smart phones and tablets, so you could connect in more ways in the future.

All Network Affiliates are available in Atlanta, but we all know you will want to keep it on FOX 5 when you start to use it.
