Report: Ill premature baby doll causes outrage - FOX 35 News Orlando

A doll designed to look like a sick premature baby has infuriated parents and charities, The Sun is reporting.

The lifelike doll is hooked up to breathing tubes and can cost more than $1,200 online. An optional care kit includes a biohazard container, syringe, sterile pads and a mask.

Manufacturers say the dolls help parents of sick babies cope with grief.

But a representative of a premature baby charity told The Sun, "It's sick. The dolls aren't comforting. They only extend the grieving process."
