Collection Of Declaration Signers’ Autographs Going Up For Auction

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A rare collection of Revolutionary War-era autographs is making a stop in Philadelphia before going on the auction block.

It's a complete set of all 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.

Joining us on "Good Day" Tuesday morning to talk about the collection was Bobby Livingston of RR Auctions.

The collection is on display at the site of the future Museum of the American Revolution at Third and Chestnut streets.

It's expected to bring in more than $1 million at the Dec. 15 auction.

The highlight is a letter by Georgia signer Button Gwinnett. Other highlights include letters by John Adams and Benjamin Franklin.
