More retailers opening for business Thanksgiving night

Posted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. -

Target announced this week that they will be opening their doors for Black Friday on Thursday night. That's thanksgiving night.

Employees at Target are seeing red. They're protesting the store's decision, and have created an online petition asking the company to remain closed on thanksgiving.

Target isn't the only company doing this. Wal-Mart, Toys ‘R Us, K-mart, and Sears are all opening their doors to Black Friday shoppers a day early.

But will this really get people through the door? Will they holiday shop on a holiday?

FOX 10's Britt Moreno talked to shoppers in Tempe Marketplace.
