Jill Kelley Calls 911, Requests Diplomatic Protection

PHILADELPHIA -

The sex scandal surrounding former CIA Director David Petraeus keeps getting wider.

General John Allen has now come under scrutiny for having "inappropriate communications" with Jill Kelley, the Philadelphia native and Florida socialite who triggered the FBI investigation.

Some 20,000 emails were uncovered between Allen and Kelley. But officials who have read the emails say they were not sexually explicit or seductive in any way.

Now, in a 911 call released by police in Tampa, Kelley has requested diplomatic protection that she is no way entitled to.

  • JILL KELLEY: Hi, this is Jill Kelley from [unintelligible] I have a guy who's in my backyard and he's not leaving, if you could send somebody out.
  • DISPATCHER: All right, we'll get an officer out to you.
  • JILL KELLEY: Thank you. And you know, um, I don't know if by any chance, um, 'cause I'm a Honorary Consul General, so I have inviolability. So they should not be able to cross my property. I don't know if you want to get diplomatic protection involved as well.

Kelley has also hired a public relations crisis firm, the same one that helped Eagles quarterback Michael Vick.

Meanwhile, Petraeus' admitted lover appeared in public for the first time since the affair was revealed Friday.

Paula Broadwell, who wrote Petraeus' biography, went out jogging in Washington, D.C.

Her father also spoke to reporters, telling the New York Daily News "the truth will eventually come out."

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
