A convenience store owner had a spicy surprise for an armed thief to who tried to rob his business.
According to Boston.com, a man pointed a gun at Saadat Khan and demanded the cash register's contents.
But when Khan went behind the counter, he reached for a cup of chili powder he keeps back there to sprinkle on his food.
In a flash, Khan threw the chili powder in the man's face, then punched him.
The gunman ran away without stealing anything.
Khan said in the 20 years he's owned the store, he has been robbed plenty of times, but this is the first time he's used spice to ward off an attacker.
