CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -

Bartow County Sheriff's officials say two deputies were involved in a deadly shooting in Cartersville on Thursday.

The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. at a home on Evergreen Trail. Neighbors said that an elderly woman lives at the home with some dogs.

A neighbor told FOX 5 that she heard numerous gunshots.

No law enforcement officers were injured, officials said.

No information has been released regarding the identity of the victim or why police had been called to that house.
