Child critical after being kicked in the head by horse
OAK HILL, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A 5-year-old Oak Hill boy is clinging to life after being kicked in the head by a horse, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said a woman was caring for her horse at the stable with her son, when the animal unexpectedly kicked the child who was underfoot. The child was transported to Halifax and immediately rushed into surgery. Hours later, information was received by deputies that the child had a horse shoe impression on his head, and had bleeding on the brain.
