ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Following the huge success of the Lingerie Football League (scroll down to see our LFL photo gallery) comes the Bikini Basketball League.

The Bikini Basketball Association was founded earlier this year and is comprised of eight teams: Atlanta Peaches, Miami Spice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties, Orlando Lady Cats, L.A. Ice, Chicago Desire and the Minnesota Mist.

The Orlando Lady Cats held tryouts last week with a second round scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 6:15 to 8 p.m. at the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland.  Candidates are expected to wear shorts and a sports bra as well as bring a copy of their bio, picture and resume.

The league is as much about athleticism as it is the looks.  Participants are expected to have strong skills at dribbling, shooting, passing, running and more.

"I'm excited to put together a team of ladies that are ready to compete and show the rest of the league the basketball talent and beauty Orlando has to offer," said team owner Mic Madison II.

The Orlando Lady Cats are polling their fans to pick a team mascot.  You can vote, by visiting the team's Facebook page.   You can also follow the Lady Cats on Twitter: @OrlandoLadyCats.

The first season of Bikini Basketball will take place in the Spring/Summer of 2013.
