DELTONA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Deputies with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office say 30 mailboxes, one street-sign and an AT&T junction box were knocked down early Saturday morning in Deltona.
They say Sean Curry used his pick-up truck to plow through the neighborhood and doing nearly four-thousand dollars worth of damages.
Deputies later caught up with him in the same neighborhood after one of the residents whose home he it, saw him and called authorities.
"He ran over my mailbox first, ran over my street sign, and then came down and wiped out all my neighbor's mailboxes," said Josh Russo.
Now residents have to pay about one-hundred dollars each to replace their mailboxes.
"We all spend money on our own property, with the economy the way it is, we don't have money to just go spend on mailboxes for someone else," said Domeni Pagnozzi, who had to buy another mailbox Monday.
Jail records show Curry was arrested a few weeks earlier on drug charges.
He is facing criminal mischief charges for his mailbox mayhem.
