The Metropolitan Airports Commission voted to partially accept a plan from the FAA to use technology to create precise take-off paths for planes, and Commissioner Rick King joined FOX 9 News to explain why.

The MAC is made up of one chairman and 14 commissioners. Each member was appointed by the governor to represent community interests in decisions related to local airports.
King, the vice chair of the management and operations committee, is one of the newer members. He was appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton last year.
