More than 100 people attended a concert held Tuesday in support of a local attorney who was shot eight times.
Adina Parson, 40, was shot eight times in April in front of her Sandy Springs apartment. Her husband, Michael, is being held without bond in Fulton County Jail on numerous charges in connection with the shooting.
Parson worked for the Department of Family and Children's Services.
Her co-workers and fellow church members organized the concert to raise money to pay for her continued physical therapy.
Parson spent months at the Shepherd Center and is still undergoing physical therapy. Her family says it's a miracle she survived, but said that she is still working on her speech and trying to walk.
"Adina is getting well every day. She's doing well. A little frustrated at times, but other than that, she's doing quite well," said John Broome, Adina's father.
Family members would not talk about Parson's prognosis, but said they keep seeing miracles.
