CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The bartender who's being called a hero is talking for the first time about a stabbing on the Magnificent Mile.

Bradford Burner told WLS radio that he did not even realize he was stabbed after chasing suspect Jimmy Harris out of the Westin and along Michigan Avenue on Saturday night.

Burner was inside the Westin hotel moments after police say Harris stabbed Oak Brook doctor Mir Jafar Shah in the hotel's restroom.

Witnesses say Burner chased the suspect outside and fought with him before he was slashed. Burner called the whole moment surreal.

Doctor Shah is expected to make a full recovery.

Prosecutors say the attacker had just gotten out of prison for an armed robbery where he used a broken bottle to cut someone.
