The Orange County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was killed in a fatal shooting early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 3 a.m. deputies responded to reports that a woman had entered a Kwik Stop at 2015 S. Orange Blossom Trail with gunshot wounds. Five minutes later, a man was found with a gunshot wound a few blocks away.
The man is identified as 22-year-old James Woodard. He died from his injuries. The woman was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The woman's name has not been released. Detectives are actively working this case and following numerous leads. Anyone who has information regarding this homicide is asked to please call CRIMELINE 800-423-TIPS.
