ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Salvation Army in Orlando is hosting its 20th Annual Thanksgiving feast, "Helpings from the Heart," and is expected to feed 25,000 diners.
The event, orchestrated and largely paid for by Golden Corral executive Eric Holm, is being held at The Salvation Army's gymnasium, 440 W. Colonial Drive and open to everyone in need.
"We have more volunteers than we can handle, because it is such a popular event," said Major Mark Woodcock with the Salvation Army. "We're very thankful, on this special day, to do as much as we are doing, with great partners and with great volunteers."
The event began at 11 a.m. and runs until demand, or supply, runs out. Click here to learn more about the Salvation Army's efforts in Orlando or to make a contribution.
