The pitcher's mound isn't the only place this year's National League Cy Young award winner feels at home.

New York Mets ace R.A. Dickey shared his love of reading with scholars at Dream Charter School in East Harlem Tuesday morning.

Dickey's visit was in celebration of National Family Literacy Month. Each student went home with free books.

Promoting literacy has been a longtime passion for dickey.

Principal Eve Colavito called Dickey's visit an inspiration and a reminder to her kids that dreams do come true.
