One person is dead in a shooting outside the Coco Bongo nightclub in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Local police descended on the North Broad Street club early Friday morning that has been the site of violence in the past.

Video from the scene showed a man lying on the ground in the club's parking lot.

There were unconfirmed reports of police searching for two men who fled the scene in a car.

It is not clear what lead to the deadly shooting.

A woman from East Orange was shot and killed outside Coco Bongo on Sept. 22, 2011.
