A San Francisco woman live-tweeted an attempted theft at her building as she drove off the suspect with bear spray and a wooden samurai sword, the website of Britain's Daily Mail is reporting.
Sonya Yu said a thief had been stealing packages from neighbors' doorsteps, so she put out a "bait package" and waited on a balcony with a canister of bear spray and a bokken, or wooden training sword, the website said.
In a tweet from @SonyaYu to another Twitter user dated November 27, she said, "he escaped, but not far. The bear spray debilitated him & painted him orange so other cops picked him up within 5 minutes. GOT HIM!"
