MADD “Tie On for Safety” event for drunken driving awareness

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

December is typically a month sprinkled with holiday festivities and parties. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is reminding you to drive safely this holiday season as the crackdown on drunk driving begins.  

Additional patrols will be out this holiday season ensuring everyone's safety, but MADD adds this is an important message that should be observed not only around the holidays - but every day.

The event was an emotional one as families honored loved ones who lost their lives due to drunk driving accidents.
