Woodstock police say they've arrested two people and continue look for a third suspect after they recovered a stolen trailer containing baby cribs meant for mothers in need. The trailer was taken earlier this week from The Hope Center in Cherokee County, and thanks to a tip from the public, the trailer was recovered.
Five baby cribs were inside the stolen trailer, which was parked outside the Woodstock facility, and authorities say the thief who drove it away was caught on camera. The trailers were meant for needy mothers who earned them by attending parenting classes at The Hope Center.
Police say a man who saw the story of the stolen trailer on television called them to say he knew where the trailer was parked. He directed police to the Sun Suits on Barrett Lakes Boulevard in Cobb County, where police were able to identify the trailer and track down two people who were driving the truck that was pulling it.
Carl James Bourque, 44, and Bobbie Jean Colston, 31, were arrested and taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges. They're expected to be charged with felony theft by taking. Investigators say they're still looking for another suspect.
Two of the five missing cribs were found inside the trailer.
