
A Daytona pharmacist on Friday pled no contest to four counts of trafficking prescription drugs (4 grams - 14 grams), first degree felonies and three counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver prescription drugs, second degree felonies.
Michael Christian Lomangino, 42, was arrested in February by Volusia County sheriff deputies after a traffic stop in DeLand revealed large quantities of prescription drugs in his vehicle.
The case was turned over to the Volusia Bureau of Investigation (VBI), a multi-agency task force which includes officers from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office and DeLand Police Department, who then executed a search warrant on Lomangino's home, where they recovered large quantities of prescription drugs, cash and a firearm.
Lomangino has surrendered his pharmacist license and is scheduled for sentencing on January 16th, 2013 at 2 p.m. Lomangino could be sentenced up to a maximum of thirty years in prison.
